For Vaughn, whose songs had been covered by a number of other artists , DRESSED IN BLACK was his first bigger-budget project. The core trio is augmented by some additional great players, including John Hiatt, Alex Chilton, Foster & Lloyd, Gordon Gano, and Peter Holsapple. But this is no festival of cameo soloing–each musician plays in complete service to the great songs, providing them with the character and support they need and deserve.
