Upon receipt of the notification above, the Commission shall transfer the voter’s registration particulars to the register of the preferred Constituency in not later than sixty days preceding the election. The President-elect shall be sworn in on the first Tuesday following the fourteenth day after the date of the declaration of the result of the presidential election, if no petition has been filed in the Supreme Court to challenge the election of the President-elect. Where a petition has been filed, it shall be on the first Tuesday following the date on which the Court renders a decision declaring the election to be valid.The swearing in shall be in public before the Chief Justice, in the absence of the Chief Justice, the Deputy Chief Justice. If a President-elect dies after being declared elected as President, but before assuming office, the Deputy President-elect shall be sworn in as acting President on the date on which the President-elect would otherwise have been sworn in.
